Manchester has been crowned as the UK’s top regional ‘tech city’.

Earlier this year the UK Tech Cities report by real estate advisor CBRE, saw Manchester retain its number one spot as the leading tech location, outside London.

Now WIRED’s 2022 Trailblazer programme, which has identified 75 SMEs who are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges, has highlighted 13 North West firms that are leading the charge, with the majority based in Manchester.

The subject with be discussed at the inaugural Tech Barometer event on November 24th, where speakers will include David Foreman, managing director of  Praetura Ventures and Patience Tucker, CEO of digital payments specialist wi-Q.

The Tech Barometer event has been organised by tech specialist Fairmont Recruitment and will take place at their new office in Mosley Street.
